Supporting modern and contemporary art and committing ourselves to the Museum Ludwig – with these goals in mind, collectors from the Rhineland founded the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst am Museum Ludwig in 1985. Since then, we have provided substantial support to the Museum Ludwig through acquisitions, exhibitions and projects.

Today, this civic engagement for modern and contemporary art and the interest in an active dialogue regarding contemporary art unites more than 650 personalities from the worlds of business, research, art and culture spanning all generations.
